Middle school sex ed. taught abstinence (over protection and preparedness).
So high school offered only these choices:
a.) Square
b.) Slut
But college, brought to you by the letter O, was a teacher of experience.
And finally, I separated sexuality from shame.
College certainly was the great emancipator! I liked the tone here.

Ugh I hated that part of high school! You were A or B nowhere in between. Those last two lines are magic!

There was nothing like the freedom to um, well you know, at will.
I liked the words in italics, they were powerful.

These days those distinctions start as early as junior high for some. Pretty amazing when a person finally gets around to the big O!

“Brought to you by the letter O” – perfect! Especially the italics as they really slowed me down and focussed my attention. I like your bulleted list for its directness and punchiness, too.

I agree with Tienne. This was deftly penned.

I found this piece really poignant and touching. The last line is so positive, and in being so encapsulates all that has gone before.

Your entries are so thoughtful, Genna. I love to study how you did them. Your punctuation was fascinating to me this round. Does that make me a big dweeb?
